We recently wrote, shot, directed and edited one of the funner TV commercials we've ever done. We will post some pictures and we don't want to give it away but it involves a goat being on a roof. The commercial is for a newer client called Atlantic Disaster Services and despite the theme or nature of with the goat being in the commercial we hope first and foremost that it brings more business to ADS. It was one of the funnest shoots we've been on in a long time and we stepped out of our comfort zone big time with this commercial. There were a lot of firsts. We used a drone to shoot some of the commercial. We also shot in 4K with our new #SonyFS7 camera. We've been editing on Final Cut Pro for a long time but are slowly transitioning over to Premiere Pro. So all in all it was a great shoot and the final commercial has turned out fantastic. We will post the commercial soon but for now here are some still pictures.

Several weeks back we were asked by one of our top clients to produce a video addressing the capital needs of their school district. We had a tight deadline to work with but were really excited to help them and produce the best possible video we could. We shot for a couple of days and edited for a couple of days and came up with a video that not only we were proud of but the school district played it for their county commissioners and they were blown away by the quality and content. They wondered how they could get this vital video out to the public to help get the necessary bond on the ballet in the fall of 2016 so the schools in that district could get the improvements and upgrades they so desperately need. We are proud of this video and are not trying to toot our own horn. The reason we are writing this is it makes us so satisfied when we can produce a video from nothing and it have the impact (potentially impact) to help improve something that is so critical for our communities....our schools. Take a look at it and let us know what you think. 2015 is here, can you believe it? We cannot. 2014 flew by but it seems like the older you get the faster time moves.....or at least for us it does. 2014 was a very good year for Orange St Films and we're hoping to carry that momentum into 2015 and keep on plugging away. We already have many projects lined up but are always ready to take on new jobs. We thrive on creating something from nothing.
There is nothing like taking a idea and bringing it to life in the form of a creative video. We will be releasing a new #Reel that we've been working on for a while to showcase some of our work over the last couple years and hope everyone will take a minute and view it. We are a unique and creative video/film production company that continues to grow each and every day and hope that if you have a project in mind you will consider Orange St Films to bring it to life. Make 2015 the best year yet and live every day like it's your last. Orange St Films is once again honored to be a part of a public school project that we feel can truly be impactful for schools, students, teachers, parents and all those involved in the Brunswick County School system. We were asked to produce 3-minute video highlighting each school in the district and will be doing 2 a month for the next 9 months. We did two a few weeks ago that turned out phenomenal and have been getting a lot of great feedback. There's really no script, just some interviews and a mission and we take what we gather and try to piece together a coherent puzzle and hope when it's finished that it makes sense and is somewhat impactful. We're thankful for the opportunity and hope the next batch that we do turn out as well as the first two produced. The video is for the song 'Silver Tags' off of Mike's new album. It was an amazing experience and we had so much fun, made many good memories, and shot one heck of a music video. The video will be epic and we will blog more about that later but wanted to talk about this song and the potential impact it can have on servicemen/women and their families. All the proceeds from this song and video will go to honor our fallen heroes and their families and help Heart Songs for Veterans raise funding for the Semper Fi Fund. Both organizations are phenomenal in what they do and are such selfless causes to help those who have, who are and who will be defending our great country of the United States. Take a minute and click on the link below to watch the behind the scenes of the making of the music video and see how you can help make this dream a reality. #film #filmmaker #filmmaking #video #musicvideo #hollywood #Marines #Army #Navy #camera #director #producer #worthycause Last week we produced another back to school video for Brunswick County Schools. We are so pleased to continue to work with this school system and are very happy that they understand the power of video. We shot, directed, edited and exported out the final video and they were able to share with parents, staff, school board members and others involved in this great school system. It was just a little teaser of the teachers of the year and a little encouragement for parents and students as they embark on a new school year.
