First let me start by saying I apologize for not writing in here for over 2 months. I've been slack on that front but the good Lord continues to bless our company with a tremendous amount of work on top of producing the new movie 'The Terrible Two'.....(which the trailer can be seen on our landing page when you first visit orangestfilms.com) Shameless plug.
So we've been working hard on post production with the film. We are not editing, a very talented editor named Jesse Andrus is doing the editing on the feature and a rough cut is in the can and we couldn't be more excited about that. As far as commercial production jobs we've been going non stop since the new year hit and it blows my mind that it's already March.
We recently had a job up in Raleigh, NC and took our drone guy, Aerial Images ILM, with us and got some pretty stunning footage of downtown Raleigh and surrounding areas. We will put the youtube link below but have also started a new tab within our site with that video on it. We are getting more and more into the drone shots and feel like it adds a unique perspective to whatever the project may be. So enjoy and let us know what you think. Thanks and have a beautiful day.
We just completed principle photography on the new independent horror/psychological film 'The Terrible Two.' It was written and directed by Billy Lewis and produced by #OrangeStFilms.
We shot the #film in a record amount of time, 9 days. We assembled an amazing crew on a very micro budget and proved that when a group of talented filmmakers come together for the love of film that a very special #movie can come out of it.
The movie stars David Reid and Cari Moskow as Albert and Rose Poe. They are approaching the one year anniversary of their 2 daughters death's. As the "anniversary" comes and goes strange things start happening in the house that was once full of love and hope. Was it a accident or is the house holding all the cards over the Poe's lives?
We had a great time producing a new music video for up and coming artist, Nick Allen, last week. We shot in and around the #Wilmington area on Oct. 8th and had the video edited and finalized by the middle of this week.
It was a great experience for us and for the musician. We hired a great drone operator who got us some really slick and unique aerial shots that we feel added a whole new element to the video and the production. We shot on our new Sony FS7 camera and shot in 4K and couldn't be happier with the look of the video.
We had a beautiful location in a wooded area in Brunswick Co.....an area that we feel is untapped and unused and could potentially be used for another shoot.....oh I don't know....maybe a new horror film, haha.
But we really did have a great time with the shoot and truly hope this video will in some way help this artist to possibly get signed and get a record deal. It's always rewarding having a happy client. It's also satisfying knowing that we did a good job at what we were hired to do and truly created something from nothing. Give us thoughts on the video. We will post here and it's also on our music video page section.
We have a vested interest in CHS Darkhorse football and from time to time will take our camera and film some of the games.
The old ball coach, Bob Lewis, is near and dear to us and we hope to do some type of documentary on him in the near future.
They lost to a 4A team Hoggard a couple of weeks ago and we were there to get some of the highlights. We shot it on our Canon 7D camera and put it together yesterday. If you get a minute take a look at the video and watch the special running back Ryheem Skinner. We did a story on him this summer too, we will post that later. Have a good one.
We have been absolutely slammed at Orange St Films and we are so thankful for that. We thank every client, business, corporation that takes a chance on us and our unique ability to bring their ideas to life whether it be a marketing video, tv commercial, training video, music video, whatever.
We are humbled by every opportunity that comes our way and we try to give 100% on each project and if we are not then we'd rather not take on the project in the first place.
So again we'd like to say thank you to all of our clients, past, present and future and we say to every one let the camera keep on rolling until magic happens.
We blogged a couple of months ago about doing the Goat on a Roof commercial. We finished it a while back but have been so slammed that we forgot to post it on here. So here it is.
It was such a fun shoot to be a part of and we've been getting a few messages from people saying they've seen the commercial on TV and how good it is and how creative the spot is. Let us know your thoughts on it and critique it if you will.
We are currently writing a new movie and don't want to give to much away about the project but wanted a few opinions.
We are going to post a picture below this blog and want to get opinions on the dolls. Not that any one reads this blog but if you do happen to stumble upon this post any comment good or bad is welcomed about these 2 dolls.
Thanks for your participation mom and hope everyone keeps chasing their dreams and reaching for the stars.
We had the pleasure of working with a great young running back on a new series we are producing called 'Beyond the Game.' His story is great and we did all we could to help tell a little part of his life on and off the football field. His life is much more than football and we hope you will take a minute to watch this powerful video we produced for Ryheem Skinner.
We recently wrote, shot, directed and edited one of the funner TV commercials we've ever done. We will post some pictures and we don't want to give it away but it involves a goat being on a roof.
The commercial is for a newer client called Atlantic Disaster Services and despite the theme or nature of with the goat being in the commercial we hope first and foremost that it brings more business to ADS. It was one of the funnest shoots we've been on in a long time and we stepped out of our comfort zone big time with this commercial.
There were a lot of firsts. We used a drone to shoot some of the commercial. We also shot in 4K with our new #SonyFS7 camera. We've been editing on Final Cut Pro for a long time but are slowly transitioning over to Premiere Pro. So all in all it was a great shoot and the final commercial has turned out fantastic.
We will post the commercial soon but for now here are some still pictures.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
